Photographer’s Note
Most of the housewives in Malabon have to work to get above the low income level. Even average income families try to earn extra money for the education of their children. The woman in this picture has a house. She put up a small store on the first floor of their house to have extra income. While she tends to the store, she also does the laundry and at the same time takes care of the children. Here she is taking a rest from laundry work and tends to her children. The store is shaded against the sun with old plastic sheets. Storage boxes and empty soft drink bottles are stacked outside. The plastic pails in front are for laundry use.
PP: Adjusted levels control; Increased saturation, +5; Sharepened by USM; Remove noise using Noiseware and cropped.

The ratings are unkind to you on this one, Andre. I like the natural atmosphere of this daily life shot. The colour is good, it is well composed, and one can almost hear the mother talking as one child appears to be either cutting or tying the other child's hair. I wish I was as talented as you in presenting such natural and important daily life scenes. Well done.

hello Andre,
Daily life in this one, so well presented, lots of things to see in your picture, so different from what we are used to see in west Europe.
Thanks to share.
Sylvie
