Photographer’s Note

After many flights, car rides, bus, ferry, kayak and a hike, you too can enjoy this magical, relaxing hideaway! It is deep in Iriomote Island, one of the southernmost islands of Okinawa, Japan.

This unnamed waterfall is one of the prettiest I've ever seen- deep ledges created a striking cascade, and luscious, green, mossy rocks contrasted nicely with the tan, marbly foundation.

I love this type of photo, the cascading water looks almost like an oil painting. This is something I'm going to have to try and do at some point (I tried a couple of weeks ago and failed).

A simple mother nature could turne dinto such an artistic shot.
With good technique, such as yours, the simple waterfall make an outstanding visual.
Moreover, you got an individual to put up the scale.

Waouh, magnifique, il y a de la fraîcheur dans ce cliché, c'est intéressant d'avoir tenté ce filé qui fait toujours son effet avec les chutes d'eau, mais c'est dommage que ce soit surexposé sur la partie droite, et un peu bruité... Vraiment dommage car il y avait de quoi faire.
