Photographer’s Note
Are you looking for amazing landscape and extreme sensations ?
If like him you want to jump from the highest european bridge - 187m - go to the Verdon's Canyon, enjoy the wonderful rivers and lake of St Croix and find the Bridge of Artuby.
Stepping on the ridge of the bridge, looking down, hear the countdown, and JUMP....
I used the AV mode open at 6.3 of my 300D set to 400 iso.
This is the original framing, i used level in PS element 2.0 to to correct the original which was a little under exposed.
In WS the the view from the bridge.

Superbe Mica,

Great action shot Michael and good framing. DOF is spot on too. It is a pity the guy didn't hold his left arm at the same angle as his right - that would have made the shot even more impressive. Perhaps you can ask him to jump again! Cheers . . . David

Hi Michael. A very exciting and animated photo of the bungee jumper going down towards the canyon, and one of the few good uses of the "decisive moment" category I have seen here on TE. A great work with the DOF to have the man sharp and in-focus in his "flying" posture, and to see the rock faces in the back in a bit of a softer way. I am also applauding you for this being the original framing, very good work.

Hi Mika,
Allez, la prochaine fois c'est toi qui saute et je tenterais de faire une aussi jolie prise ;o}

Great action shot Michael. Did you use manual focus on this? My canon 18-55 kit lens hunts most of the time when taking moving shots on AF

Quite impressive goo use of DOF to spot him out in the air, loose from everything and he is flying on the diagonal of your capture, well placed, an excellent decisive moment, thanks Michael.

Bouuuuuuuuu, impressionnant !
