Photographer’s Note
The Uffizi Gallery (Italian: Galleria degli Uffizi) is a palace or palazzo in Florence, holding one of the most famous museums in the world.
Building of the palace was commenced in 1560 by Giorgio Vasari for Cosimo I de' Medici as the offices for the Florentine magistrates - hence the name uffizi, meaning offices. Construction work ended in 1581. Over the years, parts of the palace evolved into a storage place of many works of art collected by the Medici family. After the decline of the Medici, the art treasures remained in Florence, forming one of the first modern museums.
In the middle of the image there is the Palazzo Vecchio or Palazzo della Signoria, that was from the XII Century to the end of the XIX Century home the Lords of Firenze before and also home of the Italian Governement during the years where Firenze was capital of Italian Kigdom (1865-1871).
It was to return to its original function as the seat of the City Council in 1872.

I like the linear perspective, & the tower, located right at the vanishing point. Good color, lighting, & sharpness. Bellisimo!

Ricche note

Its so unusual. The building dont appear real. Almost flat. Perhaps that a illusion from the linear composition. I really like the shot, its very unique.

Hi Paolo,
This picture has fantastic light and colours. A bit blurred people in freground are not a disadvantage, but a plus -- they give the picture a magic look. I like it very much.
Thanks,
Marek

Wonderful image you have captured here Paolo. I like the vanishing perspective and of course the way you framed the center object with the structures before it. Although the image is a quite blurry but still it has a strong impact.

Ciao Paolo,
Good night perspective you got here, the arcades lead well the eye towards the main building, I like too the change of color that outlines the difference.
Have a nice day,

L'angolo di visuale di questa foto e' bellissimo, e rende originale anche uno dei monumenti piu' fotografati del mondo. Bella anche la luce piu' calda su Palazzo Vecchio

Hi Paolo,
A very beautiful shot where perspective is dominant. The contrast of the sky and the darker Palazzo Vecchio helps to bring out the brilliance of the buildings in front. I love your control of the lights as seen along the corridors of the building on the right. Excellent shot!!! Regards.

Bonjour Paolo,
J'aime bien le contraste entre les bâtiments. Contraste de style et de couleur. Tout a l'air de tendre vers le ciel. Ils ont raison de ne pas mégoter sur l'éclairage.
