Photographer's Note

Saint Melaine's abbey. Materials: granite and of tuffeau. The Convent reconstructs from 1670, shows by the quality of his sculptures in limestone, put on pilasters of granite, the wealthiness of the order Benedictine and of the know-how of the workshop Corbineau, (The lavallois Étienne Corbineau becomes the exclusive architect of most of the religious orders in the XVIIth century).
