I took this picture in the Sydney Zoo of his majesty, lukly he was not hungry and there was a huge glass between us.

Great shot of the male lion in all his majesty - even though in captivity. I really like how you were able to capture the lion's expression and position - guarding and surveying his domain with intensity ready to pounce ... or perhaps play. The detail of the mane is quite amazing too! A tighter crop may be in order here (take out the grass on the left) to make the focus more on the lion. Or maybe not. But no matter, it is an excellent shot. We don't have to go to the wild to make great wildlife shots. Who knows in the future, this may be the only way we can see animals which are now fast disappearing. Thanks!

Ken echoed exactly my thoughts. Congrats Dario with this lion striking the one pose a photographer needs to capture him this majestic. Well seen!

A masterful shot of this master Dario.I too find that your shot makes him look as if he is in his natural domain rather than a zoo cage.His paws seem a little out of focus but his eyes draw you into the picture.Great pun Dob31 :-)

Very net and clear photo of Her Majesty... Colours are beautiful and the composition is made well.

As a feline LOVER, this photo is great!
This animals expression tells it all. He looks relaxed, yet ready to conqure anything. Definetly the King of his domain.
