Photographer’s Note
I was walking along a railway track and I wanted to get a picture of this sunset but thought it needed something in the foreground to break it up a bit. I found a weed of some sort and held it up in front of the lens.

Rather unique use of a dandelion. Nice colors, very sharp. Nicely done.

Hi Dave,
What a neat idea! You made an interesting picture, great color, you didn't let the light of the sun dominate BigTom likes it!

The dandelion makes a very unquie filter so its a big well seen and done, for me I would of just liked to of seen the dark area sharpened a touch so that its not so fuzzy. Overal though :0))))#
Le pissenlit fait très un filtre d'unquie ainsi son un grand puits vu
et fait, parce que je que je juste d'aimé à de vu le secteur foncé
a affilé un contact de sorte que son pas aussi brouillé.
d'Overal cependant :0))))))))))#

Great effect. I can feel the sun's rays seeping through the every imaginable opening through the lens of your camera. I also like the largely monochromatic hue of orange and brown with a sprinkle of blue here and there.

What a nice idea! Very well executed as well. Colors are really great and I like very much the blured background.

Very creative and original. You've composed a different way to shot a sunset! The filter used here has very well worked, no over saturation of the sun ;-). Very good framing and sharpness too. Artistical...

Terrific idea and good thinking Dave. From the thumbnail, I could have sworn it was a once-pruned tree which grew back a multitude of branches.

Wow, at a glance like a glowing red ball. Amazing. Good angle, nice weeds

Bonne idée ce pissenlit avec en arrière plan un ciel à la Monet. Joli cliché.

I thought it was a tree! You are right about the sunset "needing something else". I always get bored by sunset pictures and I never think that they do the true sunset justice. This one caught my attention. thanks for sharing
