Photographer’s Note

On my way back from Cape Spear where I took some iceberg shots, this scene appeared from nowwhere. The fog kept going back and away. Very magical moment.

Sorry for the quality of the compression. I scanned at 300 dpi, reduced the size of the picture to 600x400 and save as a .jpg to get a 50k file. Not the best solution apparently.

Very nice well composed image. You lead the viewer into the image from right to left and the color is great. You are right about it being a magical moment. I like your choice of film because it is ideal for this kind of light. Only we have to wait untill it gets processed to really see what we have. Again a wonderful image.

ah... awesome pic, like a painting with rembrandt lighting style. Its what i called as a decorated pics, not just an ordinary photo.

One of the two most important things in a landscape, but most other photographs as well, is mood and impact. If these are right, viewers will overlook a lot that could have been better. I was immediately attracted by the mood in this picture, so Tolkinish, like I can expect Gollum to sit on the bank beneath the tree. Sorry, no smileys

I missed this one. Not very catching at first view on the thumbnail, but this picture really sweats atmosphere ;-))

first time I see this one too. It's BEAUTIFUL Nicolas! Incredible how -inspite of the fog- you still caught that nice reflection. Colors are great too.

Un flou qui ne masque pas le reflet, c'est très réussi et que dire de cette teinte rose, un bel effet !
