Photographer’s Note
I took this as I was beginning my walk up Mont Royal. Less than 50m away were city streets in stark contrast to this scene. At the bottom slopes it resembles a park, as you can see in this photo. A little higher and it becomes much steeper and is dense with trees. Closer to the top, there is a chalet that overlooks the city. One of my photos from a few days ago is a panorama of the view from that point.
This photo is almost untouched. I increased saturation a little and also sharpened the image.
