Photographer’s Note
Again picture taken on Jacques Cartier Bridge, this year it's the 75th anniverary of the bridge. From here the view is incredible, the curves and hills gives nice perspectives. I think if you come to Montreal, to walk on each side and in both direction really worth it...and don't forget to bring your camera !!
Jacques-Cartier Bridge was Baptized "Bridge of Le Havre" to its inauguration in 1930, it changed name in 1934 for the Jacques-Cartier Bridge at the time of the 400e birthday of discovered of Canada by Jacques Cartier.
The Jacques Cartier Bridge is a five-lane bridge 11,236 feet or 2 1/6 miles (3.4 km) in length, spanning the St. Lawrence River between the cities of Montreal and Longueuil. Access and exit ramps connect it to St. Helen's Island.
Traffic
In 1962, an estimated 18 million vehicles crossed the Jacques Cartier Bridge annually.
Traffic on the Jacques Cartier Bridge is currently estimated at 43 million vehicles per year

Great shot, Pierre. The detail and clarity are excellent. I like the way you framed it with the road signs across the top. The touches of yellow and all the red car lights add colour to the composition. Well seen.

Bonjour Pierre,
Très belle netteté et bonne lumière. La composition me plaît aussi, les voitures font une belle diagonale en étant alignée ainsi. Belle inspiration et une note intéressante. Merci du partage. Amicalement.

Nice shot Pierre;
The clarity here is great! Great sharpness and detail combined with the shiny bright colors of the cars and other elements in the shot really make for a great "daily life" shot.
Well done Pierre!

Wow ... excellent and super-clear photo of the traffic on the bridge, Pierre. Very nice perspective effect afforded by the three busy lanes of cars coming around the bend. Great clarity and light captured at 200 mm. I'm really impressed with this one.

Hi Pierre. Well if you have to sit in traffic you might as well do it right and have a bridge like this to admire. The traffic makes for an excellent leading line to the bridge. Also the clarity really impresses. Nice one Pierre.

Hi Pierre, What a traffic jam. I guess this is happening to all metropolitans in modern age. In Los Angeles, we have the longest driving commute average.
A well captured picture with the traffic situation well shown. A picture with nice contrast clarity and sharpness. Well done. Thanks for the informative notes.

I can relate to this kind of photo even my/our problems here different - my "normal" highway under construction and theres only one lane in each directions - you did a fine job here giving us the best angle - thanks Pierre

Hello Pierre,
This is a difficult shot for a driver! Excelent position and angle of view. Excelent sharpness and also a great depth and DOF. Good colors, contrast and a interesting and well seen capture of a highway car motion at live!
Congratulations.
Best to you.

Impressive image, Pierre, and extremely well shot. Your chosen POV works very well, with the cars coming into the picture from the right side and then in three rows 'rise' diagonally through the image. And it's an impressive amount of cars and even more impressive amount of red lights. Framing the top with the yellow signal lights and the impressive amount of steel girders works well too, as it seems that the endless lines of cars are squeezed together to be able to get into the city. The inclusion of pedestrians adds a refreshing human touch and go well together with your note about walking the bridge. Very well done!

Another fine shot on the bridge. I love how the traffice disappears into what almost looks like a tunnel with the dense metal work. At the same time on the right side, with the sidewalk ending in midair, it seems to just disappear into the sky as if it's a tunnel through the sky. It's a good point of view to use the curve to move in from the corner. And it's nice and sharp throughout. It really places me in the traffic, actually. And I want to move along with the cars into the city.

Bonjour Pierre.
Une composition soignée dont le thème contraste vivement avec les impressions de vitesse rendues par tes contributions plus récentes portant sur le GP de formule I. La perspective est superbe et l'éclairage optimal. Bien fait ! Merci du partage.

Very nice photo. I like the way the cars are placed in a curve and going up. The way composed it is very good, it looks like an endles row and there is a very good depth here. I can see that red, grey and green cars are most populair.

Happy New Year Pierre - excellent composition and unusual subject, it makes me feel even better that I'm not working tomorrow, I like how the spped limit sign says Maximum: 0, which is exactly the speed seen here.
