of Karel de Stoute, Filip de Schone and Karel V. 1572: destruction by the watergeuzen. After convalescence, in the possession of several nobility families .
1889 useful as a breakdown service harbour for sick children
1940-45 heavily by W.O.2 1977; large restoration work 2003-2005; complete in - and external restoration and on 9maart 2005 reopening, for education, culture and sciences.

Mooie opname. Goed standpunt, alleen is de lucht wat bleekjes. Mooi contrast van kasteel en groen. CU, Erik

Gag Tars,
Uw plaatsing van het kasteel is zeker niet slecht, u heeft zeker gevoel, ik zou vermoedelijk iets meer naar links gegaan zijn, maar dit zou afhangen van de zonnestand, niet vergeten er op zijn minst een tiental te maken om een goede keuze te kunnen maken, want het zit allemaal in een klein hoekje, zoals de witte hemel.

Hi Tars - the castle looks beautiful, and I like the curving path leading to it. However the light was not ideal here, it would have been better on a bright day with frontal light.

Salut Tars

Ce château est magnifique et ton cadrage le met en valeur.
J’aime bien la composition avec ce chemin qui nous dirige vers le château et le gazon qui l’entoure.
Dommage que la lumière ne soit pas extraordinaire, tu as essayé de tirer le meilleur possible mais ce ciel très clair n’est pas très beau.

Good evening Tars. This is a well-built composition of the castle, in which the curving footpath in the foreground makes a good element to lead the viewer's attention towards the details of the old building. Nice sharpness and well saturated colors, even in the slightly difficult light situation late in the morning. Nice photo.
