Photographer’s Note
This is the season for our fall plowing, an annual tilling of the soil to prepare for new crops being planted next spring. These steel plow bottoms are curved to turn the soil over to expose loose soil for easier planting and also to add organic matter(humus) to the root area for next season's crop. After remaining idle all summer, the plow was rusted up but soon got a natural polish from all the soil friction.

I love it when a simple item can be made interesting in a photograph like this. I wonder what the background was like - and not knowing it's possible that this angle is best - however if the background was at all non-distracting I would like to have seen the camera it a bit lower, and angled up (just slightly) and more to the right to show a bit of depth.

I don't know how I missed this one, Derek, but I'm glad I found it.
I like your subject very much. It is well captured. I like the DOF, and I like your note very much.
Good Job.

Cette photo est claire, précise, bravo, j'aime beaucoup le rendu du contraste de la terre avec le métal.
