Photographer’s Note

The lives of Bengali people truely revolve around the river.

This was taken near Dhaka city looking down from a bridge. Despite its proximity to the ever modernising city, people here were set in the old ways. You can spend ages here observing all the different activities. I will post more river-side images in due course.

I converted this to B&W and re coloured certain interesting detail. The original was very brown and took away the strong colours in the image.

It's a nice picture. But I would have coloured all the people, to be constant. Nice POV.

Très belle composition: légère, claire, dynamique. Les quelques taches de couleurs ajoutent à la lecture de l'image, à l'intérêt qu'a l'oeil à s'y promener. Bravo!

Nice daily life shot. The Black and white touch is nice, but I'm not too certain of recoloring some things.

A nice shot Arif with really strong compositional elements that works exceptionally well in B&W.
It has great scale and interest without being fussy.
For me the selective colouring is unneccesary as it distracts the attention to seemingly insignificant areas of the image and breaks the eyes natural flow through the shot.
Worth a try though.
