Scene from the cemetery in Anzaldo. The small cemetery is located on top of a small hill away from the pueblo's center, and the tombs range from more elegantly decorated ones such as the one pictured here, to unadorned mounds of dirt in other places. Many of the decorations were made by hand - crosses, small figurines, flower arrangements placed in a makeshift holder such as a Coca Cola bottle with the top half removed, etc. There were few names to be seen anywhere on the gravesites; the place retained a feeling of humility and anonymity for the deceased, resting here surrounded by the Bolivian campo and the sparse landscape visible in the distance here.

This is a very religious picture. The earth, as a desert, and much dust (and you will go back to dust, says the bible). And the sky, blue without any cloud, and the cross in front.
It is well done
