Photographer’s Note
This picture was taken in my home town of Sedbergh. The picture is of the river Rawthey, next to Birks Mill. This used to be a Water Mill years ago and so the river was dammed up here. This is whats left.
I took this picture in failing light and was so was able to use an 8 second exposure time. The strange object protruding from the dam is a piece of twisted metal.

That's a very particular shot.
I Like the effect of the long exposure on the water. Nice and strange effect. Well done Adam !

Lovely shot, there are many of these small dams in northern England, youve caught the motion very well, simple yet effective, well done!

I like the light and smoothness of the water, but the metal spoils it a bit. If I had the time I would have tried a workshop to clone it away.

This is rather a beautiful capture, but I would agree that the metal bits are too great a distraction.
