Photographer's Note

Sunrise at Waterton National Park. Like many of the old parks, Waterton has a town and other private buildings inside the park (more recently created parks usually do not allow any commercial development within the park). The photo shows the Prince of Wales Hotel, built in 1927. It is located on a high hill with a spectacular view of the lake and surrounding mountains. Waterton Park is not a famous as Canada's other Rocky Mountain parks (like Banff and Jasper), and the mountains are not as high or spectacular, but there is something about it that makes it as beautiful if not more so. It is a unique and special place.

Processing notes: increased contrast and light sharpening.
