Photographer’s Note
25 years ago a young man named Terry Fox lost his leg to cancer.
In an attempt to raise money and awareness for cancer he set out to run across Canada.
Starting on the east coast he ran approx. 20 miles a day on an artificial leg.
Several weeks later he had to stop outside of Thunder Bay Ontario and return to B.C. for more tests were it was dicovered the cancer had spread.
He passed away having never completed his goal but his dream lives on and around the world people participate in the Terry Fox Run to raise money to continue the fight against cancer.
This monument was built to remember his courage and his strenght.
Taken at sunrise with a Canon AT1 35MM.

Hello Cornealius! Thank you for posting this great shot, and sending our Terry around the world! Very interesting composition, great silhouette. How nice that you waited to capture the sun and make him a "star." Well done!

A nice tribute Julius. Terry Fox inspired many Canadians and raise so much awareness for cancer. Plus...your photo is very nice. I love how the sun is shining underneath Terry. TFS Janice
