Lagoon - Fraser Island Photo

Photographer’s Note

Looking north towards Orchid Beach, from Waddy Point on the north coast of Fraser Island.

Fraser Island is also known as Great Sandy Island & is world heritage listed, with much of it gazetted as national park. The trees are she-oaks & casuarinas.

I liked the 's' shaped sandbank in this image.

A photo taken while I was at school ;-))
Yes the sandbank is nice, what I like in it is its sharpness in the two curves. Good restoration work of this oldie, but you still have some visible noise in the foreground water.

Excellent graphism contributed by the waving outline of the sandbank, Chris. Good use of the foreground branches for the framing, and nice colors. A bit soft, but actually it suits this one quite nicely.

Back to your classic style here. Great compo the way the line of sand twists through the frame, a bit of soft scan though.

A wonderful place, Chris. You made a good choice of POV with the trees. Focus is a bit soft, but it adds a dreamy mood to this nice lagoon.

The soft focus create a very special mood here. The wavy line and the fairly strong breeze are graceful and gives you a nice feeling of peace. I used to enjoy this feeling when I go to the beach. It's nostalgic!! Sungguh cantik. Regards.

This is another excellent photo from you. I like the composition very much. The frame using the pone trees has well decorated the beautiful geometric curves in this Lagoon. The white sand beach, dark green water, light green hill and blue sky harmonically combined together made this photo beautiful. Well done.

Lovely curved lines with amazing contrast in sides of the seashore/sandbank line,nice colors an great depth and very well used of the branches in sides beautifuly.
Also four tiny layers of the sandbank is interesting element here.very well composed and great one,Chris!

Waouh, beau boulot de restoration en effet, 1979, le cliché doit pas mal avoir subi en patine...

C'est vraiment un beau point de vue, les couleurs sont affriolantes, et ça m'a l'air paradisiaque comme endroit... aurais-tu un cliché récent de ces lieux ?
