Photographer’s Note
An old man who wandered around with his wooden "necklas" in his hands. From the village Apirathos on Naxos which is almost totaly built on marmor.
Gave him more focus by bluring the background in diffrent levels.

What's nice here (and works well), is the opposition between both people looking at you with different expressions. The man seems inquisitive and the woman looks amused. You certainly captured their attention. But all together, it's a natural street life, and your blurring is well done to put the attention in front. Just an idea (see WS)

I agree completly with Jean-Michel, his workshop improves really your already nice picture.
Welcome Allan !

Great life catch!
The old man seems to be so nice, he could be santa during summer...
Well, as always i posted my workshop before reading Ornis words... shame on me...
Anyway, i did a workshop and the main difference about mine is the sharpness of the hands and shirt of the old man.
I hope you like it!

Yes indeed, this is a very lovely shot! Sharp and clear. It's only a pity you "cut" his feet though.
But Jean-Michel/ornis made the right cropping to get rid of that little mistake.
Well done both of you...

Great with the low field of depth that truly make the man allmost pop-out from the picture.

nice color tone, precise focused ring. But i like to see more tighter frame than this.

Allan,
I remember this man when I was there! I tried to get his picture, but was afraid to bother him. We thought he looked like a Greek Santa. The blurred background is fantastic and the workshop great!
