Photographer’s Note
Mount Etna is one of the most active volcanoes in the world, the last eruption was 2001 and it lasted for about a year! This is at the tip of one of the craters from the 2001 outbreak at 2001 meter above the sea (according to a sign).
It was raining so I was pretty much alone up there, I had climbed the 50 altitude meters from the road, barefoot and wearing only pants to keep my other clothes from getting wet. It was well worth it.

Very interesting colors. The DOF is is great here. The rain drops caught in mid fall are a nice added touch. The view from this point is just perfect. I wish I could sit here in this peacful place and enjoy the view. Very nice capture.
