Photographer’s Note

Building of the cathedral started in the 12th century on a basilica dating from the 10th, standing itself on the remains of a mosque.
The style is to be seen in the transition between romanic to the gothic area.

Here are two of the statues from the main gothic portal, which 'wellcome' the visitors.

Very effective shot, Knut. The POV is perfect for capturing this vivid scene. The colours are warm and inviting, and the shadows add much to the rendering. Well seen and well executed. Regards.

And a beautiful light, very clear all this and also the statue is art, artists they had those days:-)) I made one too with the Sagrada (you already saw this one) and I like those details and this one's really nice !

Well capture of the detais of the portal. How high is it?? Very sharp image and well choosen angle. The shadows in your last two postings really add a good taste to your images. Good job and thanks for sharing...

The spanish gothic has been usually forgoten. Perhaps is not the best european gothic and it's true that the great artistics changes began out of Spain (then Spain didn't exist).
But your photo remember to us that the spanish gothic deserve more than be forgoten.
