Photographer’s Note
Alone, I never was alone at the sunrise. Every single morning I would try to find a quiet spot to ressource myself. I guess there is enough of that sun energy for everybody. I wish I would live where I can see this every morning one day. Maybe at retirement.
This is Bocca Chica in Dominican Republic. It's about 20 min from Santo-Domingo and 1 hrs from San Pedro the Baseball place. Worth the detour.
Only adjust the level and the color balance a bit, not too much.

Bonjour Michel,
joli couchant, et cette silhouette apporte une originalité à cette image. La composition est bonne, même si je regrette un peu que le sujet soit coupé. Bien vu en tout cas !

The silhouetted figure transforms this image from "yet another" sunset/sunrise, to something better. The composition is supported by the striking colour and light, and vice versa. A pleasing balance.
Well done on not getting too much lens flare too!

Nice sunrise, the colors are beautiful. I think that aiming the camera a bit further right and down would have produced an even better picture, with the sun on the upper left and the silhouette (preferably whole) on the lower right.

Hi Michel
Though there are many pictures of sunsets on TE, I like your one much, maybe thanks to its simplicity:just a lonely man in front of the sea.
It would have been perhaps better if the man was still and not walking, I don't know.
Great picture still.

hi Michel,
very well photo, POV and the fact that the sun is not in the center is the perfect choise! the balance enter the sun and the dark figure of the man in the foreground, give a very nice effect!
bravo!
