Mustard Seed Photo

Photographer’s Note

On the outskirts of the City of Bath, Fields that were barren are now being cultvated to grow Mustard Seed.
The yellow flowers are not yet in full bloom, next week I will return to have another look.

Nice one. The colors looks almost unnatural because of the contrast. With the tree and shadow it is a picture to look at. Without it, I think it would be 'boring' (I don't know how to explain exactly what I mean, so I hope you understand...)Liesbeth

Beautiful landscape with a great light, colors and composition. Nice placement of the tree. There isn't much to criticize about this image, but a polarizing filter would have enhanced the color saturation.

Just a wonderful landscape, Carmelo. The colours, contrast, and POV are all excellent. Looks like you might have used a little Neat Image to soften; if so, its just right. The tracks in the field running diagonally add a new and interesting dimension. Very well done. Regards.

This is spring in England, for sure! The spring sky, the verdant fields, the trees just on the verge of bloom--how lucky you are to be there! Wonderful composition of a natural palette of colours. Like the shadow of the tree as it leads the eye to the rest of the field. Great capture!

Curious gloomy effect onthis landscape at the horizont, an exceptional cloud formations and the contrasting yellow of the field to the greens and blues with the lines bringing us to that horizont, nicely composed extraordinary colors.

Carmelo, nice shot. What you looking at is Canola or Rape Seed just before it is in flower. I am always amazed at how vivid the yellow is when in bloom. Well done! Garry

Colors are absolutely great et seems almost unreal. Framing is also very done and well studied. Is is incredible not to see any house here...

Good composition. You've managed to fill the entire area with interesting ands colourful... imagery. The tracks in the field lead the eye in the distance and make for what would otherwise be a featureless field. I like it.

This reminds me of the film, "What Dreams may Come" It has a surreal feel to it. Wonderful landscape, perfect composition.
