Photographer’s Note
Travnik, Bosnia & Hercegovina used to be a capital once, during the Ottoman Empire rule.
The sultan mainly resided in his palace, which is what you see in the photo.
It was built in the 15th Century. In bosnian its called "Stari Grad" which roughly translated means Old City.
It was an important building almost to the end of the Ottoman Empire rule.
During the early 20th century there was a great fire which engulfed the city, and has left the building as you see it now.
Also I could mention its lived through numerous wars throughout the centuries, but it still stands "barely".

Thanks for the notes and the photo. The mosque seems so beautiful with small bricks and interesting dome. Thanks for sharing
