I agree with you, the main subject is not the sky and it is why, if I were you, I would erase it. A little cropping from the top, erasing this white rectangle will make your photo better in tighting on the main subject i.e. these beautiful gooses.

I have the impression that the focus isn't quite right in several of your shots. Here it seems to be somewhat nearer than the closest goose. What kind of camera are you using?

I like the square format. Would be nice if you could avoid that second bird cut so near the foreground. But still a nice composition.

Belle photo, le temps était gris, cela met les oiseaux en valeur. Elle est bien détaillée.
