Photographer's Note

Walking around the temple complex of Angkor Thom we found the local people performing their traditional rites. They do not mind what you do, they just are at ease with themselves doing their stuff. That's what I love about buddist people in Indochina.

Such a nice water effect! I love this image!

I like how the stones of the steps change in color as they rise upwards.

The people posed in a triangle with the slash of water across them.

Hi Enric

This is a very well representing portrait of Cambodian belief. The belief that tends to be gendered according to the picture, and to the general sense of the gender role of being a man. Men are strong, and so they tend not to believe in this kind of watering. Yes, my mom asks me to do this thing most of the time when I am not well, or when i am going to have exam. I do it cos she wants me to. Well, I passed my exam (^^).

this is a really great shot. I love the expressions and the action. The lines were a little off, so I did a workshop and straightened a few things out. I hope that you like it.
