Photographer’s Note

In Fez, in the leather tanners souks, we entered in one of the shops with aerial views towards the inside of the tannery. From the upper roof of the shop, we saw how the people do their work.
Here you can see one of the works that a man can do in the tannery of Fez, to dye the leather once it has been treated by the tanners.
In this case, these two dyers, are using the yellow colour of the saffron/safran, (a very expensive spice), to dye this leather.

An interesting angle on this messy (and smelly) job. I like the colour of the leather and the bucket of dye also catches my eye. Nice detail in the hats but it's a shame we can't see their faces.

Bonita es. Si señor. Me gusta el punto de vista y la forna que crean las manchas del tinte, también lo plano de color que está todo pero que juega a favor del amarillo. Hay que estar al loro de los colores cuando se hace una foto. Muy buena nota también, Jaume. Enhorabuena.

Molt maca la foto. Tot i que predomina el groc per tot arreu, no cansa ni mareja. La postura de les persones et fan seguir una linia diagonal, per mí molt agradable de seguir.
Potser l'hagués retallat un pel, però no ho se, ho hauría de mirar. Felicitats.

Fine documentary style. Eyecatching colors. The diagonal layout works well making it a dynamic picture.

Wow, very interesting Jaume!
I would not have thought about the saffron use here, as you say,it is very expensive.
well composed photo. I think you can lower the brightness a bit and increase the contrast. I worked a little workshop on it. Hope you like it.

very good close detail of the tanning work, and the lemon colour is very eye-catching. I wonder what they will make out of it. I pity the fashion victim that chooses to wear that coloured leather.

I like you vertiginous pov, that creates a mysterious compo. I suppose one has to have been there to really understand what they are doing.
Whatever, the yellow touch in the middle is very interesting too...
