Mourning The Pope Photo

Photographer’s Note

A few hours after the Pope's death me and my two friends went to Lednica, a place where about 150.000 young people gather each year on the largest Polish Christian festival. The Fish Scuplture which can be seen in this picture is a kind of gate. Durring the annual meetings on the fields of Lednica thousands of people cross over that gate as a symbol of belief in Jesus Christ. That night we were there alone, in silence. Just we and our memories.

Very powerful picture. The silhouette captured is simply amazing. Is the structure supposed to look like a Jesus fish? Definately worth printing and framing.

Stunning. Simple and very effective. Brilliant composition. Your photograph tells a story, there are many interpretations you can draw from this. I see three Wise Men consulting God, manifested in the form of the bright light they are looking into. It seems as though they are seeking inspiration as to what to do next.
