Photographer’s Note

SAINT EMILION (Friday 1 April 2005, 8 PM local)
A name which evokes the famous vineyard which became the first wine territory with being registered with the world inheritance of UNESCO. A right reward because of the beauty of the landscapes of vines and for the quality of its red wines.
A sight of the medieval city built in amphitheatre on a calcareous hill. Under the village, dug in the tender rock were arranged catacombs, a church monolith (9-12th century) and tens of galleries of which some are used as wine storehouses with barrels.
And in WS a sight of the bell-tower whereas the bell sounds 8 blows! One sunny Friday (23°C)... but obviously at 8 p.m., the sun is a little low...
I chose this place (I live to 8 km...) as photographic contribution to the Theme that Aleksei (Kolesn) had the good idea to propose on TE... history to put "water at the mouth"... euh, sorry ! to put "the wine at the mouth" !

Belle photo Jean. De plus, la note est très intéressante.
Je pense que tu as eu une journée plus belle que par chez nous, car il est présentement 14h45 , il fait 4 degrés et il pleut (moitié neige/moitié pluie) depuis 8h ce matin.

Le soleil n'est pas couché que déjà la lumière de l'enseigne de la boutique s'allume. C'est un détail qui a du poids.
C'est ici une très belle réalisation avec un cadrage parfait et une grande qualité.

Salut Jean,
Mio au dela de ta participation a cette deuxieme operation c'est surtout la derniere phrase qui a retenu mon attention... FELICITATIONS, et j'espere que tu prendras beaucoup de plaisir avec ton nouvel appareil, j'envisage aussi d'en acquerir un vers la fin de l'annee, donc je suivrai avec attention des posts et j'espere que tu nous feras partager tes experiences, je sais que d'autres s'interessent aussi au 350D.
C'est peut etre pas la meilleure photo pour le juger, il me semble ici que le focus est plus soft sur la parte droite, par contre excellent a gauche et un bin rendu des details.
Bon week end et mon petit doigt me dit que tu vas certainement faire qq photos ;))

Well..well, congrats for your new camera, is a really great one.Today i buy it myself, tested, and posted one photo.Low noise, very sharp, and fast camera.

Ex-Bordelais, j'ai pris plus d'un pot sur la terrasse en bas.
Tu as eu une belle lumière et ta photo est bien sympa. Dans les vignes avec le 350D tu vas te régaler je pense.
Et les macarons ?? C'est bon ça aussi.

Wow an excellent contribution to this theme. I see you just got the new Rebel Dslr. How do you like it? I almost got it and changed to the Nikon D70 at the last minute because my hands are too big for that little grip. Seems like the image quality is very high. Good luck with the new camera and keep the great shots like these coming!
