Photographer’s Note
Who said you ought to look humble while sweeping around the stupa?
Dunno whether that novice has the stuff for being a monk but at least he's got 'tude. (and moreover no stupid shirt).
Taken a little later on that morning at Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, up Mae Hong Son.

I like the orange tones in an overall white picture. Good compo too.

Wow. The finest of the "Sweeping" series, I think. His skin tones are incredible, the light too, and his posture. The way he's so defined against that white background, and balanced off by that erm... pillary thing on the right. And of course the broomstick's vertical line in front of all those horizontal stairs. Or whatever they are. (My temple-architecture vocabulary is a bit poor.)
Wonderful.

Very nice pose. Very nice composition. Nice colour. Nice light. Great shot.

Yup, 'tude's the word indeed. His expression and pose just make that nice connection to the ubiquitous cliches we all have of teenage males in the West. Nice spin on an otherwise, well exercised cliche.

The monk seems to have a Martix-style posture here...all we need is flying bullets and slow motion action while he saves the world from the baddies. I really like the angle and how he's looking over his shoulder at you...really excellent and makes the shot special. The warm tones really top off the compo here and the background being so simple makes the monk stand out even more.
But I do find his face a bit dark. Not a major thing (because the light still falls where it needs to), but perhaps a bit more brightness would be beneficial. Good work, Luko.

More sweeping, time to make a theme here I think Luko. Another great pose you've caught in this guy.

Problem is he is not sweeping, he is getting ready to wack you with a stick over your head. All is missing a tatoo white tank top instead of orange attire and I would have thought Pup took this photo.
Another nice one in a beautifull series.

J'aime beaucoup.

I don't know whether you shoot RAW or JPEG, but the strong backlighting on the image has upset the exposure on the main character (under-exposed). If you have the option it may be good to go back and re-process the RAW file +0.5 stop with lower contrast, then using photoshop and layer masks reprocess to increase contrast and exposure of the monk whilst retaining detail in the background (perhaps a bit less exposed). Otherwise, the image itself is very interesting. On composition I would have liked to have seen the framing either a little wider, or a little lower to get just above the monks knees. This would allow a perspective adjustment which would straighten the rear wall and also make the monk appear slightly larger within the image and turn him slightly towards the viewer. Having said all that I tend to do a lot in PS to adjust the image as required - if you prefer to stick to a pure 'as shot' technique then the perhaps just lightening the main subject is all that is required.
I did a small workshop to try and modify a little, however, it is a weak attempt at best without the original files. I am still in awe at your pictures, just offering a different point of view on PP :-)

Form where does your pre-occupation come with sweeping? Although you're not a Buddhist, maybe you still believe in re-incarnation? Were you a witch in another life perhaps? Reincarnated by now, but can't forget about the broom?
Beautiful light on the monk here, Luko. and he's really got an attitude. The way he looks at you, it seems more like someone from a 'correctinal facility', doing a lousy chore, than a Buddhist monk, doing some worshipping.
The light is excellent, both on the monk and on the white walls.

I like his posing at your camera. Also the colour contrast between his orange cloth and his skin colour against the white background. Only problem here is that I see this monk looked like as if pasted in the photo. I don't know if you photoshoped with his figure or anything, maybe my eyes are weird...?

Salut Luko
Bravo -

It's really good, for me. Interesting contrast of colors (orange and white). Composition is 100% right with columns. But the most important in this picture is expresion on face this men. He looks like really ungry warrior with weapon, and his eyes looks like from furious bull. good luck
