O.K. you may have the potential for an interesting shot here. Here are some suggestions. First, get closer. IMHO the street in the foreground adds nothing. Second, use a tripod and shoot this scene earlier in the evening. Somewhere between 30 minutes and an hour after sunset will be perfect. The lights will light the building and the background sky will be a deep blue or purple, and you won't loose the roof fading into the background. Since you are using digital, you can take lots of shots and see how the changing (fading) light affects the photo.
By the way, what is this building?
