Photographer's Note
In response to a critique: The colors have indeed been pushed to an extreme. I really like the bold, punchy look of the photo though. Perhaps I saturated just a *little* too much...

This is a bold shot, both in terms of colors and shapes. I also like the people sitting on the monument to highlight the immense size of the pillars. Excellent shot.

Striking photo. The scale, angle and vivid colours make it memorable. I can easily imagine this shot being used for some sappy ("motivational") office poster.

Personally, I find the unnatural colors, cyan fringes around the clouds and blown-out cloud interiors off-putting. Am I totally missing the point?

I love it! Stark and imposing, just like the scotsmen whom this monument symbolises!

Brilliant framing (and lens selection). I love the pushed colors. For me, it would work even better without the tourists.

I like this shot too. Really nicely composed.
I think maybe a few less tourists, leaving one or two for scale (as Adam points out) might have been better. The sky does seem a little un-natural but not too distracting for me. (Maybe the sky is just surprised to see the ground; clear days aren't that common in the UK ;-)

Great angle, very contrast colours of the green grass and the blue sky. The monument is just majestic here.
