Photographer’s Note
I liked this water fountain, on Lisbon main square. The expression of sadness of one of the statues, added to the falling water makes it look like it's crying. Another possible interpretation is a couple under the rain or in tears. Very appropriate for Lisbon, whose beauty also lies on an underlying sadness.

Nicely shot.
I would have cut the bright zone on the top left so that the picture would have start in the black and progress toward the brightness.

Very nice view of this fountain in Rossio, although you could crop a bit of the left to erase that brilliant part the composition is very nice! I like very much the DOF and the water falling.
Hope you've enjoyed your stay in Portugal.
I also have some shots on this fountain but by night. Take a look.

I love this picture because of the motion the falling water gives to the restless figures in the background. It enchants the girl's expression, adds sadness and magic at the same time. I like the lighter part of the photo, it fills the photo with a good feeling and hope because it brigthens up the couples situation in a very warm way. I like the composition too because when I look at the photo I forget it's a fountain in middle of a busy square..I only see the couple and the rain and light and get immediately lost in their story, the photo has emotion and is like out of the imagination in one's head while reading an ancient Greek story. It is not just a photo of a fountain that was there. Wonderful picture!
