Photographer’s Note
Some 30 minutes walking - or in this case x-country skiing - from Hasvik on the northern island of Sørøya you'll find a spectacular beach called something that translates into Great Sandy Bay. What a curious feeling removing your skis in sand...
Slightly enhanced contrast and saved for web.

Bonjour Edvard,
Voici une bien curieuse plage, elle n'incite pas grandement à la baignade, mais elle offre de si beaux paysages à ses alentours.
Chaudement habillé, cela doit être délicieux d'arpenter ces plages.Compliments aussi pour les couleurs.
Daniel.

Exceptional colors and clearness. The foreground with tropical savour really contrasts with the snow-covered mountains of the background. A little bit of noise in the sky, but the picture is very well composed. Well done.

Hi Edvard - this is amazing, the bottom part could easily be in the tropics, when combined with the snowy hills makes it exceptionally nice.

strange but beautiful landscape. I like the rocks on the sand. I wish I could see more of the shade of the rock.
very nice shot anyway.

Amazing landscape, extraordinary experience...
I like the contrast sand/snow. It would be nice to see the shadow of the rock, and maybe a pair of skis on the sand... :)
