Lovely landscape and beautiful colours!

This is indeed a beautiful scene, however I feel that it could have been better with a more dramatic sky. Also it looks to me that the colours are a little bleached, was this taken during the middle of the day? I think it was because of the shadow areas on and around the tree. A different time of day could have added more substance and vitality to the image. Imagine a long shadow of the tree reaching out towards the viewfinder, for example. It's interesting to note your use of traditional filters with your high-tech digital camera. Most people I know are prefering to solely use PS to post-process. I must say that I find the colors in your picture, as well as looking slightly bleached to me, also seem a litle unatural (particularly the water). I don't think this is because of the polarizer, but maybe some post-process work you may have done.

Une composition toute simple, avec un superbe dégradé de bleu, tres long et lent et comme j'aime les arbres, j'admire aussi ce sapin très bien placé.

Hi Eugene, A very nice picture. The colors are unbelievable fantastic. The graduate deep blue sky color and the water color made a special contrast in this picture. The lone pine is an added nice feature to this beautiful scene. Well done.

I like this simple composition and the choice of giving so much space to the sky even if it's totally empty. The use of filters give a subtle but very good result. The color of the water is incredible! A very nice picture altogether.
