The peacefullness is what I like the most about this shot. Too nice of a shot to have me enter into technical considerations. Congratulations.

Beautiful shot, Martin.
So quiet and tranquil. Soft colors, nice lightinf, hazed composition.
Well done

there is a very nice lighting from the right which makes a pleasant silhouette. the background is fuzzy as a sign that the subject is not conscious of his surroundings.
there is still some noise on the lake even though the image seems to be blured.

I really like this picture and I love the mood! The composition is great with the main focalpoint given lots of space, placed "looking" into the frame and nicely framed by the hanging leaves. If only the light had come from the oposite direction and iluminated the subject's face, this image would have been perfect in my opinion. Or another option would have been to make it a silhouette. I also have a minor niggle with the bridge in the background... the arch makes it too interesting and steals some of the attention away from the main subject. My eyes keeps wandering back and forth between the person and the background, never quite settling down.

Great atmosphere. I like how the twigs frame the image. That old bridge is very beautiful background. This shot could work also in B/W – so I posted my version to WS...

Perfect sensation of solitude, of silence and concentration.
Very nice picture, relaxed and calm.
Beautiful colors from the sun light, nice tree banches, beautiful lake.
Perfect compositio, and very good contast, and definition.

Very nice shot. The composition is just perfect. Colours are also great. The lake shows somme grain and I would have preferred to have the reader on focus.

Lovely shot, I like that the man (or woman) is almost a silhouette but with his back lightened. There is a very calm moodd on that shot, emphasized by this lovely bridge in the background.

This is a very nice shot. It suggests a Maxwell Parrish to me (do I have that name right?).
A few comments. The lake noise could be cleaned up with Neat Image. The close foreground is badly out of focus and might be trimmed off.
As for composition, I think it would have been even better had you shot from a lower angle and decreased the space between the reader and the bridge.
It is, IMHO, a great shot. One that deserves a bit more work.

You really captured an interesting moment here, Martin. Regardless technical considerations that could be easily solved (such as the grain) the picture transmits an intense atmosphere of relax and tranquility.

The photo technically is good, but the important thing is that it transmits an immense peace and a tranquillity to me.

Your composition really works well here. I agree with all above... Great atmosphere. Very good framing too : the leaves in foreground, the reader, the water and the the bridge in the backround with a very nice lack of focus thanks this good choice of DOF... This image is a bit noisy but it's been already said previously, you can sharp your shot easly with a software.

This is a really fine composition Martin as the shot reflects a fine thoughful mood in a friendly sorrounding. The branches was wise to include in the pic.

This is beautiful. The framing of your subject really compliments him, and the background is simple and uncluttered.
I would love to sit and read here, too.

I like the balance of light here. The silouette has just enough detail and the background not to bright, just delicate.
