A week after I've first been to the Hayburn Wyke I returned again yesterday. It was an overcast day and the fog, coming from the sea and lingering along clifftops and fields, seemed to narrow my photographing opportunities to the minimum.

As soon as I took a path down to the woods, visibility became better - seems like existing trees and large fern managed to fight back the fog, somehow.

I followed the stream that was gently descending down towards the sea, all alone... - but was I really alone?

Superbes couleurs et cadrage splendide. Temps d'exposition avec ce petit flou va bien à l'image.

Bravo

The beautiful magic forest with lots of details. Splendid contrasts and colors. Beauty sharpness. Cool

Hi Robi,
These pictures astonish me again and again. These mysterious, gloomy colours intrigues me.
I wonder where the path will bring us and wished I walked myself there.
Groet Rob

I don't know how you are achieving the lighting on this shots (do tell) - but they really are different - and outstanding :)

Hie Rob,
The twilight and foggy scene, you'd captured very well here. Detail is good and exposure is expressive.

another dreamy like photo, very nice nature shot, I really like these kinds of shots, very good series, well done

Another one from the enchanted forest, Robi. Great rendition of the atmosphere in the low light, the scene looks so genuine that I can almost hear the sound of the water, and smell the greenery. The tonal range in this one is excellent.

Hi Robert, this is so nice and like your previuos post very dreamlike. The subdued light renders a mysteriuos atmosphere. The colours are superb. Well seen and done!

Regards, Christian

Bonsoir Robert,
Une merveilleuse atmosphère se dégage de cette photo aux couleurs intenses, certains éléments comme les feuilles à droite semblent même être sources de lumières.
Merveilleuse composition.
Daniel.

This somehow reminds me a bit of Bodnant Gardens in Wales, I love the composition!

Just like Stephen I wonder how you achieve the lighting of these shoots in the wood. Not only the light but the strong structure of the composition amazes me. When I try a picture in the woods usually all I get is a bushy imbroglio of branches and trunks.

Quite a soft focus effect you used in this shot, it gives really that glare to make it mysterious here. Ever tried to use it gradually ?
