Photographer’s Note
Shopping at the Dior counter in La Samaritaine, a department store in Paris. Apparently, the store has four buildings (which I didn't know until I just looked it up on the internet). The one I was in was beautiful with old iron staircase and railings spiralling up to the top floor. I managed to take two shots before I was told that very politely, but firmly, photography at La Samaritaine was "interdit."

Mimi,
Excellent shot, awesome POV, exposure is quite nice. I also like the black frame on this. I've been thinking of doing frames, what software do you use?
Best wishes,
Matt

A really good shot Mimi!
First I admire the absolute sharpness, and second, in the same time, the extreme "smoothness" of this image, due to the warm tones. I love the point-of-view too...
In fact I just completely like it a lot!!!

Very nice photograph. The color and people's movement is so natural, there is no overdone highlights or clipping of colors. It is to me, a very good example of commercial photographer's guide of triangulation. Very well done.

Sooo, you're in our city, Mimi... where did you already go or intend to go?
Leave the Samaritaine away, they're old grouches and going downhill.. at the Galeries Lafayette you also have numerous shooting opportunities and I've never seen anybody preventing the many japanese tourists to take photos.
Back to your photo, nice graphical arrangement thanks to the angle of view and a diagonal orientation, the way Dior is positioned through your image makes it feel like an ad too, we can wonder who's advertising for the stand or your image?
If you're still in Paris may I suggest you for graphical opportunities to wander through Les Halles upper floor, walk over Paris streets on the Coulée Verte or visit La Villette Science Museum (Cité des Sciences).. if you like more parisian points of views, why not follow le Canal Saint Martin ( from "République" tube station to La Villette), stroll through Père Lachaise graves or inevitably lose yourself in the Louvre museum and surrounding Tuileries park.

I like very much your framing from up to down. The colors are also great and I guess when you were told it's inderdit, you answered Sorry, I don't understand French ;) Anyway, it's a very nice shot!
