St Pauls Cathedral in Macau was built by the Portuguese in the early 17th century when Macau was a colony, but was destroyed by a typhoon in the 19th century, when the wind knocked over the candles & set fire to the curtains & wooden superstructure. Only the stone facade remains today. It was the largest church in Asia up until then.

Very nice pov Chris, and what a great backdrop that blue sky provides. Sad this is all that's left, but it's a beautiful detailed facade and I'm glad you are able to share this shot with us.

Remarquable document sur la Chione. On voit ici l'influence portugaise dans cette ruine de la cathédrale St Paul au demeurant très bien conservée. Excellente image.

Hi Chris, This is a very clear, detailed photo. You POV enabled the viewers to see some details of the structure style, decorations and its age. The background color made a clear contrast. Well done.

The angle you choose give a strong perspective over this nice Cathedral.
The light is excellent and we have lot of details here.
I like it.

Good shooting angle for this upward view of the ornate church façade, Chris, allowing for a lot of details to be studied. A pleasant tonal range with the brown and ochre colors that also contrast nicely with the blue sky.

This is just for me:)) What a wonderful structure and symmetry. Very sharp. The contrast between the colors of the sky and the building has a good taste.
Good shot. Thanks for sharing...

Well, this picture does not connect in my mind with China ;)) But I've read about Makau. Excellent scanned photo, perfect sharpness, splendid combination of the clear blue sky and the yellow walls of the Cathedral.
