Photographer’s Note
Yesterday Mikoyen posted a picture that reminded him of the village from the famous Prisoner series with Patrick McGoohan, and it reminded me that I've actually visited the genuine 'village'.
It's located in Wales, in Portmeirion, created in the Italianate style by Clough Williams-Ellis.
This is Number 6's cottage, with the trademark Penny Farthing outside. I took this with an old film camera back in 1993, before I became interested in photography, so quality isn't too great, it's actually a photograph of a photograph, using my digital camera, the result turned out much better than I could hope for, nearly as good as using a scanner, which I have, but isn't hooked up at the moment.

Thanks for the reminder of an intesting bit of child hood being allowed to stay up to watch this very strange program as a special treat.
Anyway nice one mike proves you can take a pic with the advantages as well as showing how versitile a digital camera can be . have done the same with some family papers and pics and it is amazing how good you can get them.

Mike, its amazing a photo of a photo has turned out so clear. As Rob says a nice reminder as well - I was hooked on this strange series. I also visited Portmeriron several years ago and like you, before digital photography was around.
