Photographer’s Note
Orvieto, Umbria, Italy. Orvieto is an ancient Etruscan city built on a tall plateau of volcanic rock. You can see the edge of the cliff in the photo and it's a straight shot down from there. Orvieto was the Etruscan version of Masada and allowed them to hold out quite a while against the Romans. The city is amazingly beautiful, with excellent food and wine. The rock is remarkably soft, and so every home has a private cave with well, aviary, and wine cellar.

Welcome to Te Eric. An attractive and interesting first posting. The light in the village is excellent. Maybe a little darker sky or a little cropping had also worked. Anyway very nice overall impression.
Hope you will enjoy TE

It is an amazing town and so ancient. It's setting is amazing. And you have captured that amazing setting perfectly. The height over the plain and the steepness of the drop are visible in this view. The buildings and their texture really stand out. The wall at the bottom is a bit distracting. Perhaps you could have cropped it slightly so the left side rises from the corner. But it's a nice foreground element in this three part image. Foreground wall, middle ground town and background plain. Nicely done and welcome to TE, Eric.

Nice shot. Well done panorama view. Please consider to move the photo in the following directory: Italy\Umbria\Terni because Orvieto is in the province of Terni. Thanks.

Gorgeous, simply stunning! Orvieto is definately on my 'to see' list, ONE DAY! :) The colours in the picture are gorgeous, it's nice how you captured it with the houses in the fore-front and the soft sky and mountains in the distance. Wonderful POV.
