Photographer’s Note
My previous photo of the Mackinac Bridge was taken from an unconventional angle: underneath. This shot is a much more typical view of the bridge, although the environment is not. It was just after sunset and very foggy when I took this shot. There was a strange green glow in the air. It was very mystical and strange, and it was one of the better views of the bridge that I've seen.
The Mackinac Bridge was built in 1957 after years of discussions concerning replacing the overused ferry system to connect Michigan's two peninsulas. At the time of the bridge's opening it was the longest suspension bridge in the world with a span of 26,372 feet (8,038 m, or approximately 5 miles) between anchorages and a central span of 3,800 feet (1,158 m). The total weight of the bridge is 1,024,500 tons. After all these years, the massive bridge remains the longest suspension bridge in the USA and the third longest in the world.

Oh, these nasty greenish tones.. Very very good imo, of course working nicely due to the red appearing all over.
I'd suggest a bit of cropping, check out the ws :)

This is as old as me, and I look a little green round the edges. Quite a coincidence.
As for the image, it has a very eerie quality and I can imagine the traffic being quite muffled. The green glow is also very affecting, even if it does make it look like something out of a Steven King movie.
The right side of the picture is very grainy which is very appropriate for this type of shot and I think looks very good. It might look good with even more noise, but perhaps you can have too much of a good thing.

Suspension bridges are my favorite bridges for their elegance and I think Mackinac is one of the most elegent ones ever made. The way it stretches so far out into the water like a thin ribbon is beautiuful. This point of view capturing the long line of the approach and the arc of the side and main spans as it disappears into fog really shows the beauty. The green tint also goes toward that as does the lighting. The lines and perspective are amazing here. It is very well composed and abalanced across the scene, too. And the truck adds that nice touch of energy to the scene as does the nice graininess. You did a really great job on this view of the bridge.

Love it, love the street and bridge lights, love the diving traffic, love the mist, love the details on the dimishing bridge. Beautiful colours, very unusual.
