Photographer’s Note

".. Sikhs and sufis are friends.." goes on my Sikh friend Sekhun. "..actually, we are the compromise of sufis and hindus! Even the words are similar if you ever notice.." (yeap, he knows my background! :-)) Sikhs are well-known with their hospitality and tolerance...

the rythmic, trancy verses from Guru Granth Sahib go on in the background.. praying never stops here, 24 hours.. you are always welcome to resting, praying, bathing, eating and meditation.

it was a very pleasant day that day in Grudwara Bangla Sahib, quiet and peaceful..

A very beautiful image Evren - depth of field, colour relationships, composition - a very fine photograph all round - personally I prefer a photograph with 'white edges' to be defined from it's background - however finely - but this is a wonderful example of the photographer's art.

great shot ! I like the way you composed the photo with the profile of the woman in blue on the far right of the picture. nice ornage sari too and love handles ; ) probably eating too many indian sweets. very soft light.

i have to say that some of your photographs have a lot of "claude" in them
this is with respect not only with the colours but also osme of the compositions and subjects
if this was in a proper 35 mm format i would have surely mistaken it for one of claude's photographs
ok so this is not a critique, more like a compliment

You really captured beautiful light on the tank water and very vivid colours here. The half-veiled face is very enigmatic.

Nice photo Evren;

Good composition and the vibrant colors of the saris. Even though it's unfortunate that the second ladies face is hidden, it does add a sense of mystery to her- and it's done so in a "by chance" way. I like it.

Hello Evren - ben insan ve daily life resimlerinden pek anlamam, ama bu benim için en ilgi çekicilerinden biri ve favourites'a ekliyorum çunkü bu resmin her bir kösesinde ayri bir interest var: muhtesem renki sariler, piril piril su, tapinak mimarisi, mavili kadinin pozu, ve egilen kadinin firlamis göbegi.

(tavsiye notun için 1000 tesekkür, bugün evdeyim ama ptesi ise gidince print edip sakliycam. Minolta olmasi hiç sart degil herhalde alirsam Canon'u alirim ama fiyat benim için su an çok fazla. Agustos'ta 2 aylik Australya'ya gidiyorum, banka hesabim yaniyor o yüzden)
