I took this shot last week when I was visiting my family in Madrid. I have been to Segovia many times however never when it has snowed. It made for some very beautiful scenerey.
This is a picture of the aqueduct in Segovia. It was built approximately 2000 years ago when the Romans invaded Spain. apart from the fact that it is still standing after 2000 years which is a feat in its self, what amazes me the most about this structure is that there is that no cement was used. What keeps it up is gavity and some excellent engineering. |
