This a front view of the spectacular Perito Moreno, a glacier in the patagonian province of Santa Cruz. This picture was taken from a boat tour that goes in front of the glacier. The average height of the glacier front is about 50 meters!!

Spectacular shot. The colors are good and the sharpness allows us to see the texture of the glacier. I also really enjoy the montain peak that "peeks" trought the clouds.

IMHO, the picture could benefit from a thighter cropping with less clouds.
But I am just beeing difficult !

I posted a workshop to express this.

Wonderfull photo.

A mon avis, dans ce cas particulier, je ne pense pas qu'il faille diminuer le ciel parce qu'il augmente l'aspect grandiose de cette composition.

With my opinion, in this particular case, I do not think only it should be decreased the sky because it increases the imposing aspect of this composition.

C'est merveilleux Quelles couleurs !!!

I like this shot very much.
I would (if I knew how) remove that black peak with PS manipulation. It really disturb.
But the color are great!

Incredible color on this glacier. I must admit that in your previous photo I didn't find it very natural but I realize that it is natural, just hadn't seen or couldn't believe that a glacier could have this color. My humble excuses. I agree with Paul about cropping some of the sky, less the added black frame.

I've heard about the glaciers of Patagonia, but think this is the first photo I've seen. Spectacular spot and a good shot. I agree with zx11 - you should crop it tighter - perhaps a bit off the bottom and a bit more off the top.

This is a great shot Andrea. You've capture well the colour of the glacier. And you even catch a glimpse of the Cerro Moreno in the background. When I was there last January, the weather was bad and the peak was lost in the fog.

This glacier is magnificent, it is incredible as unlimitedness. I agree with someone, maybe it would be necessary centred a little more squeezed without removing however the beauty of this photo.

Hi, I agree this photo would look good with some of the clouds cropped off, and I played with the contrast and lighting some as well. The original photo was incredible, and I envy you such a sight!

Great great colour. it's incredible. good framing.

I didn't make the boattrip, so I enjoy this picture very much. I found it difficult to make a picture so that one can appreciate the highth of the glacier. You succeeded very well, mainly because of the mountaintop piercing through the clouds. Nice sharp as well !!

Great color. I have to add that the glacier plunges about 50 meters down to the bottom of the lake aswell, on top of the 50 above the surface. One of the most amazing places I've been to, it sucks that places like this are beeing destroyed due to global warming.

This is incredible, Andrea! Very beautiful colors and point of view. TFS!
