Photographer’s Note
This little fellow thinks he is perfectly camouflaged against the metallic leaf of a garden sculpture. Even after being frightened away, he came right back to the same spot.

Milloup: I think he would be about 4-5cm in length. We see a lot around here, but not this colour. I'd love to learn what species he is.

Great capture, congratulations! How big is this little fellow? I've looked for an ID in my book on darters, but cannot find a match, so he's not a type we get here in Denmark.
Darter males are often territorial, so if this was his territory and his favourite lookout, of course he'd come back ;-)
