Photographer’s Note
Saw this pedestrian on the side of the 401 highway that runs between Hamilton Ontario and London Ontario. He was just walking, not even attempting to hitchhike, just like he had lost hope.
Moderately edited, picture was taken from a car going 110 km/h
Tightened crop significantly at top and bottom.
Changed color temperature and contrasted to bring out more of the detail of the forest.
Enjoy! :)

First of all, I won't congratulate you, you were above the maximum authorized speed... ;-)
Taking into account that you had no time to compose, this is a rather good result. You did very well in postprocessing, and I particularly like the panoramic format in this case, with the space left behind the man.
The pic gives off a feeling of great sadness ("no hope", as you said), so in my opinion you succeeded very well in passing the message on.
Great...

Bonjour Phillip,
Le panorama ajoute a la sensation de solitude et j’aime le plus du panneau de limitation de vitesse.

I like the mood this picture conveys - the cropping and perspective are excellent! Well done!
