Photographer’s Note
I took this photo from a bridge at Ujung Genteng, West Java. The place is ideal for digital infra red photography, with its clear skies and generous sunlight.
This photo represents how digital Infra red photo looks like straight from the camera. The custom white balance is a result from many, many experiments. I use manual exposure, also from experiments. I find the metered value often make the pic too dark (depends on the angle of the sun relative to the camera). In general, compensate about +3 from the metering will yield an acceptable result.
I use Ilford filter instead of the more commonly-used Hoya R72 because it gives a punchier result

Nice work here. I agree this is a great shot for the infrared. It is very interesting to see the palm trees look as if they have recently seen a winter storm. The colors of the water and sky are very pleasing too. Thanks for sharing.

Another world! It's worth just imagining. The detail is amazing. Though I suspect it's meant for Trek Lens.
