Bon Giorno, Mario!
Nice shot, I like the calm, quiet sense of this canal because it reminds me that people really live and work in Venice.
The composition is good, but the light was working against you. I found with this type of shot that you really have to try to exclude the sky--otherwise the sky is overexposed and the lower portion of the photo is underexposed. And there is no real remedy for that except a split-density filter (darker on one half, lighter on the other), and that gets too complicated for me to manage.
The dynamic range from lots of light to deep shade is just too much for the camera to handle. I think there are tools in Photoshop to assist with this, but I am not very familiar with complex editing.
I hope these comments help you, and thank you for sharing a very nice shot of a magical city. I hope to see more of your photos.
Best regards, Jim

Venice has a great atmosphere. I like the very old building showing their age. Venice is wonderful and there are so many places that lend thrmselves to awesome photography. Practiacally every inch of the city is photogenic.
Ill return later with some points.
