As we arrived in Istanbul on a quiet saturday, I grabbed this shot of an empty hall in the new (5 years old) Istanbul Airport. It is rare to find an empty place in this city of over 17 million people so I didn't want to miss documenting it.

indeed a rare moment in such a place
but what i like most is the reflexion's game you get here
it gives this photo a sense of multiple dimensions

It seems you have taken it from "Matrix"...

At first I couldn't figure out where the floor was.
Very surreal...love it!

Amazing composition! The floor looks like a reflecting pool. Good catch.

great shot :-) I love it ... the blue color made me feel soooo calm :) ... first I tought it is a pool but then I tought it is a game hall & by the way I found out it is a crowded airport corridor ;)
thanks for sharing :)

The blue tones and reflections make for a clean and cool feeling image. The quietness is very surprising. Nice one Ryan. Maybe a touch of straightening to enhance the precision of the lines? A minor suggestion for a great picture.

This is a good shot. Light was definetly cooperating I can tell. It looks like the right side of the floor is flooded :) I like the game of the light.
Also it is a good catch. At the airports in USA you can not take these kinds of shots for security reasons. I guess you got lucky that nobody was around. They question you for these kind of stuff over here.

the multi-dimension effect is very interesting..very nice play of visual planes. the monotone also is added value as well as the accompanying story to the empty space.

I found this picture fantastic, you succeeded to catch this place without any persons...such a good perspective and DoF, the cold tons are splendid.

Ryan, I love the POV of this picture along with the colors. The way the lines draw your eyes, the cool blue tones, and the reflections from the windows all create a great composition. Very interesting!
